Our Rectangular Casserole is ideal for this recipe, offering superior heat retention and even heat distribution as the batter bakes. Lavender Roasted Pears

Lavender Roasted Pears

Pear season tends to fall in early September, and our Lavender Roasted Pears recipe is a great dish to make the most of this. Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F and buttering the inside of your Rectangular Casserole.

Next, combine the sugar and lavender in a food processor, before peeling, halving, and coring the pears. Once that is complete, toss the pears with three tablespoons of your lavender sugar, and lay the pears cut side down in the casserole. The Rectangular Casserole will expose the pears to a consistent heat source, baking them until they are barely soft. This should take about 20 to 30 minutes.

The final step is to flip the pears cut side up before returning them to the oven. Cook the lavender roasted pears until they are caramelized before serving them with fresh raspberries, crème fraiche and a drizzle of honey. This recipe takes under an hour to prepare from start to finish, serving over ten portions.
