Poaching is a gentle cooking method where food is simmered in liquid until it's cooked through. To do it, start with a Le Creuset saucepan deep enough that your good will be completely covered in the poaching liquid. Add your main ingredient to be poached along with flavourings such as herbs, aromatics and seasoning then cover in the poaching liquid of your choice. This can be water, wine, or milk just to name a few. Heat on medium until it begins to simmer, then lower the heat and continue to cook until completely cooked throuhg. Test for doneness and enjoy.
