Our Poached Pears recipe can quickly become a go-to in your household, whether served alone or to cap off a delicious meal. This recipe takes just under 30 minutes to prepare, serving between two and four portions at a time for a stress-free and delicious dish.
INSTRUCTIONS
Crack open cardamom pods without releasing seeds.
Combine cardamom, white wine, sugar, lemon juice and salt in a Stainless Steel Saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Bring to a simmer.
Add pears. If they aren’t completely submerged, add water until they are covered.
Cover with lid slightly ajar and simmer. Turn pears occasionally, until tender. This should take between 20-30 minutes.
Using a Revolution® Slotted Spoon, transfer pears individually to cereal bowls. Remove cardamom pods.
Increase heat and boil poaching liquid until it is reduced to approximately 1 cup.
Spoon syrup over pears and serve.
