INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 °F/ 190 °C. Butter an Oval Baker and sprinkle the bottom and sides with 1 tbsp granulated sugar.
Beat the eggs and remaining granulated sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
On low speed, mix in the flour, cream, vanilla extract, lemon zest, salt and maple syrup. Set aside.
Peel and slice the pears. In the Oval Baker, arrange the slices in a single layer, slightly fanned.
Pour the batter evenly over pears.
Bake until the top is golden brown, 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve at room temperature, sprinkled with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
