  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

For the Cookie

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Dark or milk chocolate, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Brownie:

To a skillet over medium low heat add the butter & stir until melted. Continue cooking until butter begins to brown. Remove from heat. Transfer to a medium mixing bowl. Whisk in sugar, egg & vanilla. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder & salt. Transfer to Heart Skillet & smooth to flatten. Set aside as you prepare the cookie layer.

Cookie:

To a skillet over medium low heat add the butter & stir until melted. Continue cooking until butter begins to brown. Remove from heat. Transfer to a medium mixing bowl. Beat in sugars, egg & vanilla until fluffy. Sift in flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt. Mix until dough comes together. Fold in chocolate. Dollop over the brownie layer, ensuring most of the top is covered (it will spread as it cooks in the oven). Bake at 350(f) degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool completely before slicing & serving.
