How to Chop a Chili Pepper

Use a Le Creuset Chef's Knife to cut the stem off a pepper and release the seeds by rolling the chili in the palms of your hands to reduce the spiciness. Then, thinly slice the pepper crosswise for the perfect rounds. If you like it spicy, leave the seeds intact before slicing before slicing. To dice a chili pepper, start by slicing it in half lengthewise. Scrape away the membrane from inside the pepper along with any remaining seeds. Cut the pepper into strips lengthwise. Gather then together then cut the strips crosswise. Fresh chili peppers are great for both cooking and garnishing dishes.
