INGREDIENTS

  • 24 radishes with tops
  • ½ cup (125 ml) unsalted butter, diced
  • ½ cup (125 ml) mix finely chopped dill and chervil (or parsley)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Maldon salt (or other flaky salt)

RECIPE NOTES

Summer is the season to take chances, and this butter-dipped radish recipe is no exception. An unusual pairing, the creamy butter and herby salt cling perfectly to each crisp and crunchy radish. Place each piece like artwork on plates from our Minimalist Collection and step up your hosting game this summer.

Our Large Sheet Pan is the only piece of cookware you’ll need for this recipe, exposing the radishes to a consistent heat source until the butter completely sets. The end result is perfectly crunchy radishes dipped in butter, salt, and finely chopped dill. Keep in mind that radishes are typically in season in April, ensuring this dish is extra fresh!

Our Radishes Dipped in Butter and Herbs is a great way to shake things up in the kitchen and move away from tried-and-tested appetizers and side dishes. After all, cooking without experimenting is no fun. This recipe can be prepared in over an hour, serving between four and six people at a time. Here are the four simple ingredients you’ll need along with the steps to follow before tackling this recipe!

INGREDIENTS

  • 24 radishes with tops
  • ½ cup (125 ml) unsalted butter, diced
  • ½ cup (125 ml) mix finely chopped dill and chervil (or parsley)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Maldon salt (or other flaky salt)

INSTRUCTIONS

Thoroughly wash and dry the radishes, keeping only the nice leaves intact.

In a bowl placed over a pot of simmering water, gently melt half of the butter. Remove the bowl from the heat. Add the remaining butter and whisk until thick and creamy.

Dip the bottom half of each radish in the butter and place on a Sheet Pan lined with parchment paper. Set aside in a cool spot until the butter has set, about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a Ramekin, combine the herbs and salt.

Dip the bottom tip of the radishes in the butter a second time (very gently reheat the butter as needed).

Immediately dip in the salt-herb mixture. Return to the baking sheet. Set aside in a cool spot until the butter has set, about 15 minutes, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
