RECIPE NOTES
Did you know that you can use your Dutch Oven or Braiser to make delicious popcorn? Try something different this week and make some homemade popcorn for your next movie night. Our Caesar Popcorn recipe is as delicious as it is easy to prepare and is the perfect accompaniment for your next stay-at-home movie night.
Featuring a mixture of anchovies, garlic, and lemon zest, the popcorn’s seasoning is eerily reminiscent of a classic Caesar cocktail. The Braiser creates the ideal environment for this recipe, exposing the popcorn kernels to a consistent heat source thanks to its domed lid and shallow base. The Round Dutch Oven can also be used, providing superior heat retention and distribution.
Whether you are having a movie night for two, or inviting guests for a season premiere, our Caesar Popcorn recipe can be easily scaled up or down for the ultimate movie night snack. This recipe makes between four and six servings at a time, taking less than 30 minutes to prepare. Simply set up the Dutch Oven or Braiser, sit back, and enjoy! Here are all the ingredients you need and the steps to follow before you get poppin’.
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small Saucepan, heat olive oil, anchovies, garlic and lemon zest over medium-low for 2 to 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Heat peanut oil in a Braiser over medium-high heat.
Test the oil by adding 3 or 4 popcorn kernels.
When the kernels pop, add the remaining kernels in an even layer and cover with lid. Once the popcorn begins to pop, gently shake the Braiser by moving it back and forth on the burner.
Once the popping slows down, remove from heat and remove the lid.
Drizzle with seasoning mixture, toss and serve immediately.
