What to consider
Flower Varieties
The first thing to consider is colour. Whether you choose to stick to one tone or go bold and mix colours, you should try to stick to 3 to 5 varieties. This ensures that each stem has the chance to shine. You’ll also want to pick your star flower, the one you want to really highlight and build on that with the supporting florals. Lastly, consider seasonality and prioritize locally grown blooms.
Choosing a Vase
Consider where you will be placing the bouquet to help guide this decision. A tall bouquet placed in the middle of a small table can block people’s view but can be great to accent a credenza or a side table. For a centerpiece, a lower vessel, like a French Oven or even a serving bowl works well. Utilize your favourite storage pieces, serveware and even cookware to help everything match on the table.

Something for every style
Flowers are a universal gift but what makes them so widely appreciated is that they can be adapted to suit different colour preferences and styles. Both the flowers chosen, and the vase used, create a unique accent for any room.
Effortless Simplicity
I personally have the Utensil Crock at home and I love to use it as a vase. I like to create an effortless arrangement that can be set in my kitchen or in my dining room on a credenza. This is the kind of vase I like to use to focus on a single variety of flowers. Here, I chose to put two varieties of tulips and a few stems of chamomile to make the crock and its colour stand out more.

Casual Country
For me, the white Le Creuset pitcher takes me to another world: a beautiful country house and a beautiful kitchen. So I wanted to create a bouquet that was a little more country, something I see myself gathering right from my garden. I used a mix of greenery and fern, I incorporated Thalapsi that played the role of greenery and filler flowers and I used a mix of Lysianthus and Daffodils. I kept everything in a soft, creamy palette, in line with the Meringue color of the Le Creuset pitcher.

Elegant Statement
For this arrangement I wanted to create a large, plentiful but low arrangement that I would have imagined in the center of a beautiful table. I also chose the color palette of my flowers to match the Shell Pink color of the French Oven. I wanted a soft, harmonious arrangement that would be fun to look during a nice meal. My star flower is the Peony, my secondary flower is the Ranunculus, my filler flower is the rice flower, and my little flower that will highlight the movement and give lightness to my bouquet is the Fritillaria.
Shop French OvensFlowers, in my opinion, can single handedly impact the way we feel- they can alter the energy in a room with their one-of-a-kind presence. They are synonymous with the art of living. Even a single flower in a small vase can completely alter the ambiance of a room.
